Genetics · Pharmacogenomic Testing
Genetic testing, done once, used forever
Every other test we run is a snapshot that changes. This one does not. A single pharmacogenomic panel tells us how your body processes what we give you, and that answer stays true for every protocol you ever run with us.
Why it matters
The standard dose is standard for a population, not for you
It explains the non-responders
Some people take a normal dose and feel nothing. Others take the same dose and feel wrecked. Often that is not psychology or compliance, it is how fast their enzymes clear the compound.
It prevents wasted quarters
Without it, finding what works is trial and error at 90 days a try. Knowing your metabolizer status up front removes whole categories of guesswork before we start.
It is the one result that never expires
Your labs will look different next year. Your genome will not. One test, one time, and it constrains every plan we build for you from then on.
What the panel reads
- Drug-metabolizing enzyme variants, how fast you clear compounds
- Transport and receptor variants affecting response
- Interactions across everything you already take
- Reported as clear categories, not raw genotype data
The appointment
- A cheek swab. No blood, no fasting, a few minutes
- Run through OneOme, a clinical-grade PGx lab
- Reviewed with you and stored in your member app
- One time only, never repeated, never re-billed
What it is not
- Not ancestry or trait testing
- Not a disease-risk or predictive screen
- Not a reason to start or stop a prescription on your own
- Not a substitute for your physician’s judgment
How it feeds your blueprint
The other three tests say what to change. This one says how much.
Your brain map and labs identify the targets. Your body scan tracks the change. Your genetics set the constraints on every intervention we choose, which compounds are worth trying for you, and which were never going to work. It is the layer that turns a good protocol into your protocol.
Educational note. Pharmacogenomic testing informs how your body may process certain compounds. It does not diagnose any condition and is not a substitute for your physician’s judgment. Never change a prescription based on this report without speaking to the prescriber.
FAQ
The five questions we get most
Is “Medication Match” the test, or something else?
It is the name of the panel. Medication Match is our one-time pharmacogenomic (PGx) test, run through OneOme, a clinical-grade lab. When we say PGx, Medication Match is what we mean.
What does it actually tell you?
How your body processes compounds, which enzymes clear them fast, slow or normally. It is reported as clear categories, not raw genotype data, and it shapes what we recommend and at what intensity.
How is the sample taken?
A cheek swab. No blood, no fasting, a few minutes in the chair. Results are reviewed with you and stored in your member app.
Do I ever need to repeat it?
No. Your labs change; your genome does not. One test, one time, never re-billed, and it constrains every protocol we build for you after it.
Is this ancestry or disease-risk testing?
Neither. It is not a predictive screen and it does not diagnose anything. It is also not a reason to start or stop a prescription on your own, talk to the prescriber first.
